About the Artist:

Kavitha Balakrishnan is from Irinjalakuda, in Thrissur district of Kerala, India. A legal expert by profession, she is also a multifaceted artist since childhood with interests and talent ranging from Paintings, Classical Indian Dance and Music. Her paintings are the end products of her observation, experience and visualisation. She has undergone training in doing Mural paintings in the traditional manner using the Dhyana Sloka.

She currently works as the head of the Department of Law, School of Legal Studies, Kannur University, Kerala.
